A luxury apartment located in Philadelphia could be the first luxury apartment to be sold at auction for $3 million.
The two-bedroom apartment in the upscale neighborhood of South Philadelphia sold Friday for $2.25 million, according to real estate records.
It was listed as being located in the area of West 23rd and Chestnut Streets in Philadelphia.
The listing was on sale at 8 p.m.
Friday, according with Philadelphia Real Estate Board.
It had an estimated sale price of $2,846,000.
The price includes the broker’s commission, the sale price, any taxes and the buyer’s premium.
According to realtor.com, the property was built in 1894 and is listed as a “modern contemporary” style building.
The seller did not disclose the size of the apartment.
It is owned by a real estate firm that was founded by Michael E. Schulz and the Schulz Group.
The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The seller of the building did not respond to The Associated Press’ request for comment Friday afternoon.
